The Community Education Programme is funding Creative Writing workshops with our very own Tommy Frank O Connor this autums. There will be two workshops; the first is for those of you who have always wanted to write but don’t know how to get started. Or maybe you have been writing for years and want to share your work and don’t know where to go? Tommy Frank will facilitate this workshop to give information, confidence and most importantly he will inspire you with his love of words and ideas.
The second workshop is aimed at people who are already involved in Creative writing groups in Kerry. This workshop will support writers to further develop their writing skills and to highlight what workshops should be run annually to support their sustainability. It might also be an opportunity for new writers to join existing groups or maybe to set up a new Writers group in Kerry.
A Novelist, poet dramatist and story writer Tommy Frank O Connor has published a numerous works including The Poachers Apprentice ; he has facilitated Creative Writing Workshops in Kerry and beyond.He has won awards;he has been on TV and radio and written for stage. We are delighted that he has agreed to facilitate this event.

Time: Beginners 10 am to 1 pm
Experienced writers 2 pm to 5 pm
Cost: Free; 5 € for a coffee and scone!
