INTRODUCTION TO HEALTHCARE SUPPORT

- Occupational First Aid
- Communications
- Work Experience
- 2 extra modules to be decided
Entry Criteria:
Students will need to find work experience to complete this course.
Garda Vetting:
Kerry Education and Training Board is committed to practices which safeguard children and vulnerable adults. It is a requirement that all learners enrolled on these courses undergo Garda Vetting. A designated Vetting Group will assess only relevant disclosures, not all disclosures will necessary exclude a learner from a programme/course.

An information night for the above courses will be held in Tralee Community College 11th February 2014 at 7.30pm.
Classes will commence 24th February if there are sufficient numbers.

The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) under Kerry Education and Training Board provides part time Further Education Courses for young people and adults. Entry to BTEI Course is through application. An access interview may also apply for certain courses. The BTEI Programme provides an entry route for those in the work place who wish to up-grade their skills in line with emerging needs. as BTEI provides part-time learning, it offers the chance to combine a return to education and training with family, work and other responsibilities.
FEE STRUCTURE: BTEI is free to those who left school early and who have not completed their Leaving Certificate. Those who are in receipt of a social welfare payment or holders of a medical card are also exempt from fees; the remainder will be charged fees.
